KNOWN FOR ACHIEVING RESULTS
This is my online portfolio. I am a second-year Master of Public Administration student with a specialization in Strategic Public Management and Leadership at Northern Illinois University. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Adult Education from the University of Ghana in 2019.
I took a position as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Ghana in August 2019. I am currently a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Public Administration at NIU. Recently, I began an administrative internship with the Village of Burr Ridge in the state of Illinois. My experiences at the University of Ghana and Northern Illinois University match my aspiration to become a university professor. I was recently accepted to the University of Nebraska Omaha for a Ph.D. in Public Administration and offered a graduate assistantship, which would further my aspirations to become a professor. I am passionate about making a lasting impact in the academic community as a university professor through teaching and research centered on the empowerment of women, children, and minority groups in general. In the future, I hope to establish a nonprofit organization in my native, Ghana. The nonprofit organization's mission would be to address social equity concerns in my country, particularly those pertaining to women and children.
